She has BF, she texts me ALL the time, I am confused?
We’re both in 10th grade and I am IN LOVE with this girl.

Here goes: she has a boyfriend (not a very attractive fellow). They fight all the time. She’s always texting me (whether its in the morning, afternoon, or midnight). It may be rude and annoying to anyone else, but i love it.She flirts with me alot (while texting as well). Whenever she talks about him to me, I’ve noticed she only complains and she never tells me anything good about him. She tells me how I treat her better and how she cant seem talk to him but she can to me etc. However, even though I can sense the vibe when we’re together, she doesn’t even seem uncomfortable if I’m around them. Problem: I don’t know how to interpret this…

Either:
1. She might be happy the way things are now. She has me to talk to and flirt with. She has him to "get sexual" with. She has both of us eating out of the palm of her hand. She has all the attention she wants and she doesn’t want anything to change.
2. She thinks of me as a friend. A really good friend. One who she can talk to about her life everyday. She’s has an "okay" relationship but she can deal with it as long as she has her ‘good friend’ to talk to.
3. She’s afraid to break it off with her bf. She doesn’t want to hurt him. She could be waiting for him to break up with her, etc.
4. I’m just her second resort in case it doesn’t work out with her bf. If they break up, she’ll give me a chance.

However, with all the signs I’ve seen, I don’t know what to think anymore.

But I’m afraid that if this keeps up, I’m gonna end up in the dreaded friend zone and she’s gonna start to talk to me about her relationship problems (by the way: that’s bad, right?) and not even consider dating me. How do I get her to want to be with me? How do I become irresistible to her?

and number 2 and 3 if she doesn’t know.

IMO:
Most girlfriends I knew who have been in these kind of situation often likes someone to whom they can talk to whenever their relationship in on the rocks. They need someone to substitute as a boyfriend when her’s is emotionally unavailable.

Being in this situation is a gamble. Just tell her your feelings and intentions. Don’t let her blabber about her boyfriend and act like she’s yours. You’ll enter the friend zone if you will continue JUST LISTENING to her problem.

BCS National Championship aftermath and thoughts?
Being a Texas Longhorns fan, I am heartbroken, to put it mildly. I am heartsick. I am distraught. I am shocked. I am depressed. But most of all…I am proud.

I could not be prouder of a football player than I am of Garrett Gilbert right now. A freshman who has only been involved in no more than 20 plays in his entire collegiate career, comes out on the biggest stage in the game…and struggles at first…badly…but gains his composure and performs at a level in the 2nd half that even Colt McCoy would be impressed with. Don’t get me wrong…that first half was atrocious. I nearly went to bed after that pick six shovel pass. But Gilbert shook it off and nearly led the Horns to victory. Let’s play "what if" real quick, OK? What if Garrett Gilbert pulled off that miracle comeback? Mayhem in college football. What if McCoy hadn’t been hurt, despite Gilbert’s impressive performance in the 2nd half? What if….McCoy got another shot to play Alabama in the national championship…healthy?

You know, if not for the benefit of Texas’ chances in the title game, but at least for the sake of a good college football game and for the closure of one of the greatest quarterbacks of all time…I wanted Colt to play. I could see the heartache in his eyes on the sidelines as he watched his teammates play in the game he had been waiting to play in his entire career. I kept thinking "this can’t be happening…after all he’s done to get here…is it possible he won’t play?" and trying to wake myself up from this nightmare.

Please don’t take this as whining or not being able to accept defeat. But right now, I cannot honestly say that Alabama deserves the national title right now. They have not played the Texas Longhorn football team that has played all year. They played a different team…a team with a frightened teenager for a quarterback. So until Alabama plays that team that I have watched and loved all year….I cannot say that they are the best team in the nation. Not now. Alabama fans: you have a fantastic team…one of the best I have ever seen. You guys probably deserved this championship more than any other TEAM in the nation. But I think Colt McCoy deserved that title more than any PLAYER in the nation.

My mind is really going in two directions right now. One part of me is heartbroken and frustrated. Another part of me is optimistic and proud. Just think how beneficial this is for Garrett Gilbert. He has nothing to be ashamed about. I can see it now. In three years…Gilbert’s senior year. Texas Longhorns=national champions alongside its Heisman winning quarterback: Garrett Gilbert. That guys has balls, give him that. He has incredible talent and perseverance as well.

In 2012-2013, Garrett Gilbert will finish what Colt McCoy started at the University of Texas.
Love the first five comments or so, so far. I feel such heartache for Colt right now. Whatever team he gets drafted to…l will renounce my fanhood of the Houston Texans and will be a team of Colt McCoy’s next team in the NFL.

I love that Texas came back in the 4th quarter they showed a lot of heart. However I don’t see Gilbert being as good as McCoy.

Not a UT fan by any means but they showed a ton of HEART!

They had no business being in that game in the second half. Gilbert lead them to within 3 and got blindsided on a blitz that a more experienced QB might have seen.

I’m thinking the nation got robbed of a great game when McCoy got injured.

3 years, dude he’s gone after 2. Case mcCoy and Jaxon shipley will be the stars in 3 years, I know. Damn it greg davis that shovel pass was so stupid, I think texas will go 10-2, 11-1 next year, depending on how good OU is , the guy gained a lot of experience, texas gets nebraska the game after OU and mack brown is undefeated in the games after out in austin, the diffcult thing will be @ tech, which I think is week 3 ( On the website), but since gilber played " The Best Defense ever" it will be a cake walk, with a new coach…. Was sorry to see McCoy not be able to play, but I thought Gilbert played fine. My biggest disappointment was the way that the Texas offense just seemed to give up there for a while. Gilbert made some good throws that could have been caught…and SHOULD have been caught, if you’re hustling. Texas had the ball with three minutes plus and a chance to win the game with a TD…so it was NOT a blowout.
And I was impressed with Mack Brown’s refusal to send McCoy back in the game…the papers here in Birmingham reported that McCoy was begging to go back in. Was a classy move of Coach Brown refusing to take any chances.

Well said. My only concern like many was if the O-line to rebound after ahorrible game vs Neb and it did minus the plays Colt got hurt where lineman whiffed on cut block. To answer your question McCoy would have lead UT to the NC if he was not hurt. Help me! I'm so confused!!! (please read)?
Ok so there is this boy that I really like.About 2 months ago my friend told him that I liked him and then he sent me an email asking who do i like. and i said "my friend told you didn’t she ?" and then he replied back saying "i like you too" and then i said "really? and stuff like that" and then he replied back saying "yeah, why do you like me?" and i said "your funny and nice" and he replied saying "i like u because your cute and nice" and so after that at school he would always talk to me in math class and in the halls. Anyway so after about a month after that he asked my sister if I still liked him and I told my sister to say no, because wasn’t sure if he still liked me. so anyway, now he thinks i don’t like him. but he started talking to me on facebook and asked me who i liked and i said "no one" because i just didn’tt know how he would react if i said i liked him. so i asked "who do u like?" and he said another girl from my school. so now we don’t talk at all at school or on facebook. but its weird cause he always looks at me and stares at me, and i try to not look but i just ignore him. I went to his band concert one time with my sister and he saw me in the stands and just kept looking at me! so the next day after the concert i told him he did a good job, but he just said thanks. so what is up with him!? i’m confused. do you think he likes me or what? thank you so much!

P.S. I like him still!

Oh yeah and he says he likes this other girl and always flirts with her, but always look at me! and it’s like he’s ignoring me but trying to get my attention! I’m so confused!

Try asking your sister to ask him who he honestly likes. You should tell her to tell him that you still like him, but just are afraid to say anything. He could either 1.) Have moved on from you. Guys can like different girls throughout the course of a month, or 2.) Using the other girl to make you jealous.

So what do you have to lose? Go for it!

It sounds like he still likes you and is confused too. Maybe his flirting with this other girl is him trying to see if you still like him or maybe he does have feelings for her.
In any case stop with the games and be real with him. Tell him how you feel. I know it seems like a good way to see if he still likes you but that wasn’t a very smart move telling him that you don’t like him when you do. Always tell the whole truth when it comes to the person you love. Trust me I know. You only lose someone through games and lies. Stuff like this never helps anyone it just causes more trouble.
Just calm down around him. Tell him how you feel and ask if he still has feelings for you. If he does then your golden, if he doesn’t then you can move on, but if he has feelings for you and this other girl too you have a whole different story on your hands. Just be honest though its the best and least painful way all around to do anything.

ok, so he keeps looking at you. That’s good it means he still likes you. You told your sister to tell him you don’t like him anymore so obviously he is going to say he doesn’t like you anymore he thinks now that you don’t like him it would be weird or something to like you. You should tell him soon that you still like him.
And with him flirting with another girl and looking at you it does mean he is trying to get you jealous so tell him you still like him
