oily eyelids,cant wear eye shadow?
hey i was wondering if there is anything that can fix my oily eyelids?I’m cursed with bad genes.I am pretty healthy and I try my best to get my 8 glasses of H2O daily,but I just cant seem to get rid of my oily eyelids.
I can never where eyeshadow because in about an hour I have people telling me to go take a look in the mirror and then I see it all smudge :/

i have the same issue! i keep oil blotting sheets in my purse and car because of my eyelids! try avoiding putting lotion on your eye lids when moisturizing your face. also, use eyeshadow powder not the creams because the creams seem to come off quicker and show the lines in your eyelids almost instantly. another tip is to use a face powder on your eyelids before applying the eyeshadow powder. the face powder will act as a barrier between your makeup and skin so the oil should just absorb into the face powder and not effect your eyeshadow. good luck!

Try a different type of eyeshadow..there are many different type to choose frm. if u usually wear metallic / cream eyeshadow that will definitely smudge cuz of the oil in ur skin, I have oily skin too and i try to wear matte eye shadow…cuz it stays longer than cream eyeshadow and its doesnt smudge as much.

I have oily eyelids, too. Applying face pwder before you apply eyeshadow helps, but I find that using lip stain on my eyelids gives me lasting color. I use the one put out by The Body Shop. http://www.thebodyshop-usa.com/lipstick- lip-liner/prod4870018

i had the same problem!!
my solution is that when i where eyeshadow that im gonna be wearing for a while i use eyeshadow primer. i use Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer Potion! you just put a little on your eyelids and rub it in. then apply your eyeshadow over it and it should last all day without smudging or creasing!! i get it at sephora. or sephora online.

Eyeshadow primer! Loreal’s Decrease for a cheaper brand or Too Faced Shadow Insurance at Sephora!
Too Faced usually retails for about 17$. Same amount for Urban Decay’s Primer Potion.
Loreal is i think around 6-8. I’m not sure.
I have very oily lids also and any eyeshadow was creasing before i left for school in the morning!
You could also use a very sticky concealer but those usually will crease underneath oily lids.

Use an eyeshadow primer to prime your eyelids. The good ones are Too Faced Shadow Insurance and Urban Decay’s primer potion. I heard the latter works the best if your have oily eyelids, but you can only get it on ebay as the Sephora stores in sg only sells Too Faced Shadow Insurance.
