what would be romantic to add to the evening?
on valentines day, i have reservations for a restaurant called the melting pot but i don’t know what else to do or what to get her. we have been dating for 9 months and surprises are something she loves. the restaurant isn’t a surprise because she was there and was listening to the call for reservations. anything have any recommendations for the rest of the evening?
is melting pot a fondue place? if it is, that’s pretty nice. I would add some surprises like little gifts everywhere.

surprise her w/flowers of course, find a nice park and go walk after dinner and somehow start slow dancing at the park she’ll love it
if you have a picture of you to take it to walmart or walgreens and make a postcard of it

Afterwards take her out for a beautiful walk, and give her a nice present halfway down the walk. Nothing that looks cheap, like chocolate. Maybe a 5 dollar necklace if you’re a cheap kinda guy.

How about a carriage ride or how about taking her to a lounge with a singer and have the singer sing her special song.

Get her something she can keep!
Like a necklace or something.
Even if you don’t have money, by her a little globe that you can shake. I got my boyfriend one with a female teddy inside carrying roses, and it says "I love you". I thought that was kinda cute.
You should get her to spend the night at yours, and just pamper her like give her massages and rent her favourite movie, etc.
Good luck!

The Melting Pot? fondue? yum, i love that place. Have you thought about adding a romantic hotel stay? that can be romantic if it is a romantic room. my husband took me to a nice hotel after a great dinner for our anniversary and lined the jacuzzi tub with roses. so romantic and we had a great time. i ended up pregnant that night though, lol!

Depending on where you live/access to this and your tastes, maybe a nice night of ice skating would be a neat touch. You could have dinner at the MP then go ice skating and possible dedicate a song (if it is indoors and they have a speaker system) to her during the skating time. Not sure if this is possible where you are, but if she likes surprises this would be one option!

Excellent choice. My boyfriend and I have gone to the melting pot three times for date-like occasions. Don’t get her chocolate because you’ll have more than your fill at the restaurant, I promise.
Why don’t you make her a card, buy her flowers, take her to a movie, and get a small necklace that you’ll know she likes? Believe it or not, girls are easily pleased and as long as you use your heart to get the gift, she’ll love it.
I promise. (:

that place is terrible and costs way too much. Take her on a weekend getaway someplace nice and stay the night. It might even cost you less than what the melting pot has to offer. If trips arent her thing get her something from bluenile.com. Ask her the top 5 things she would like so you’re sure to get her something she likes and still keep it a suprise.

Take her to a romantic comedy at the show or take her home and watch one…if she likes crowds…dancing cheek to cheek at a place where they play that kind of music.Big hotels might have slow dancing type music where its not too loud….

Have the melting Pot make you some of the strawberry Roses. They look like roses but are made of strawberries.

omg I LOVE the Melting Pot! It’s my most favorite place to go out and eat!
After dinner, maybe you can take her back home, and give her a massage? Or even better, before dinner, you can get a massage for two people and a whole spa package.. it may seem kinda girly, but she’d love it!
Also after dinner, giving her a piece of jewlery would make her happy. But make sure it’s not ‘too’ Valentines Day themed, you know? That’s more of if you get her a necklace or something though.
Or maybe if you like the way the relationship is going, you can give her a promise ring? That’s a tad high school as well, but popping the question in Valentines Day is a bit too common and cliche.
Either way, I’m sure she’ll love whatever you two plan to do and I wish you the best!

Melting pot is really good about helping to celebrate events. My idea would be to drop off her favorite flowers there ahead of time, and make a request to have them waiting at the table for her when you guys are seated.
Or, if your looking to spend a bit more money (which may be a good call since it’s your first v-day and you are obviously serious) surprise her by renting a limo or nice town car. Most have 4 hour minimums, so you have plenty of time to cruise around after a great meal.
Good luck!
